I’ve written about the intersection of business and politics when the companies challenge new laws or face allegations of worker mistreatment. I’ve covered workers’ concerns and how the companies and state officials have responded.  I have highlighted industry trends like skyrocketing demand for bikes during the pandemic, told through the experiences of local bike shops.. I’ve tallied the ballooning price tag for major projects and potential cost-saving measures. I’ve analyzed why wealthy, venture capital-backed businesses failed. And, during the pandemic, I’ve documented the rise of remote work and how gig workers fell through the cracks of government aid programs.

In addition to those stories, I have covered protests for workers, women, racial justice and gun control. I’ve written fast-turn profiles on leaders with local roots and individuals who handled crises. I’ve followed the aftermath of deadly crashes and interviewed friends and family members to learn more about an individual who was killed to help humanize a breaking news story. I’ve even written about the air quality during wildfire season.
